[활용강의] 나만의 세계관을 만들어보자

[Practice] Build your own world-view



그동안 배운 내용들을 활용하여, 세계관을 하나 만들어보도록 하겠습니다.
세계관을 만든다고 해서 너무 거창하거나 어렵게 생각하지 마시고, 우선 자신이 만들 세계관 이름으로
폴더를 하나 만드세요. 저는 여기서 일단 '고양이 월드' 라는 예제를 만들어 보도록 하겠습니다.


Let's build a world-view by utilising what you have leant so far. <- by 가 필요한가?
There is nothing grand about building it, so take it easy and make the world-view folder for starter.
I'll be using 'Cat world' as an example.


이번 강의의 첫부분에 있는 그림을 보면, '고양이 월드' 라는 세계관 밑에는 '까만고양이 왕국' 과 '하얀고양이 왕국' 이 있습니다.
까만고양이 왕국과 하얀고양이 왕국 밑에는 각각 "주요 도시들" 과 "주요 인물들" , 그리고 군사력에 대한 메모가 있군요.

여기서 "주요 도시들"과 "주요 인물들" 을 표시하는 데는 캐릭터 모음이 사용되었습니다. 캐릭터 모음은
등장인물, 국가, 문파, 도시 등을 설정하는데 쓰이는 DreamNote의 설정 용지/캐릭터 시트라고 생각하시면 된답니다.

The picture above shows two sub-folders 'Blackcat Kingdom' and 'Whitecat Kingdom' under the 'Cat world'.
Under each of those folders we have 'Major cities', 'Major characters' and Military strength.

In this example, character group is used for 'Major cities' and 'Major characters'. It is like a property/character sheet in DreamNote used to make characters, countries, guilds, cities etc.



메 인컨트롤 오른쪽을 보면, 까만고양이 왕국의 "주요 도시들" 캐릭터 모음이 띄워져 있는데 캐릭터 리스트에 '동쪽 도시' '서쪽 도시' '남쪽 도시' '북쪽 도시' 라는 네 개의 도시가 있는 것이 보입니다. 이처럼 캐릭터 모음 하나 안에 여러 캐릭터(여기서 캐릭터란 단순히 인물만이 아니라 국가, 도시, 종족 등 모든 것을 넣을 수 있습니다)를 넣고, 그 하나하나에 대한 설명과 세부속성 등을 설정할 수 있는 것이지요.

On the right hand side of the main control, you can see the 'major cities' character group with four cities 'East city', 'West city', 'South city' and 'North city' in its character list. Like this, multiple characters(which means not just people  but also countries, cities, races and everything else) can be added into one character group, and you can also set description and detailed properties for each of them.




세계관의 구성이라고 해서 특별히 어려운 것은 없습니다. 그저 자신이 보기 편하도록 이런저런 설정들을 체계적으로 정리할 뿐이지요.

중간에 메모를 넣기도 하고, 참고 이미지를 넣기도 하는 등...
세계관을 만드는 데 특별히 정해진 양식은 없습니다. 예전에 [메인컨트롤 - 1] 효율적인 프로젝트의 구성 강의에서 말했듯이, 자신에게 편한 대로 정리하면 된답니다.


It is not especially hard to build a world-view. It is just a systematic arrange of multiple settings for your convenience.

Putting a memo or a reference image etc...
There are no set rule in creating a world-view.  Just as I mentioned at "[Main Control -1] Efficient way to produce an project", arrange them "The way you want them to be".



만약, 무협소설을 쓰시는 작가님이라면 '정파' '사파' '마교' 이런 식으로 큰 분류를 놓고, '정파' 밑에는 '9파'와 '1방'을 놓고,
다시 '9파' 밑에는 '청성파' '무당파' 등을 놓으면 되겠지요.. '무당파' 밑에는 또다시 '1대제자' '2대제자' 등을 놓을 수 있겠구요.

SF소설의 경우에는 '태양계' '은하계' 이런 식의 분류도 가능하겠지요?


If you are writing a oriental fantasy, then you can make 'the righteous', 'the outcast' and 'the vile' as the big category , add 'the 9 factions' and 'the band' under 'the righteous', and put 'chungsung' and 'mudang' under 'the 9 faction' etc... '1st era apprentice', '2nd era apprentice' and such can then be added under 'mudang', again..

In the case of a SF novel, category such as 'Solar system' or 'Galaxy' would be also buyable, right?
